Finished Crisis of Conscience Recently

well i finally got around to finishing crisis of conscience.

2 things stood out to me most.. 1. the fact that the gb can question beliefs and noone else can.. 2. strangly the most disturbing fact- its a small one- but actually made the biggest impression on me out of the whole book-.

the fact that they agreed to send him a copy of his meeting tapes and then refused and admitted in writing that they lied.. obviously there was much more that i got from it and i do find franz situation unique in that he had a whole support system outside of the "truth" and most today including myself have nothing- if i leave my wife hates me, my family wont talk to me, etc- it doesnt provide any solution for that scenario.. any thoughts on the above points- let me know.

There's many Youtube vids where Ray gives talks about CoC and interviews about his personal experiences. If you get a chance to see them It may give you even more sight about the man.

Interesting enough many husbands and wives leaving togther, just many more don't have that luxury.

I would suggest becoming slowly inactive, and while you do be the best husband ever!

today she calls out of the blue, asks how i am, and if there's anything she can do for me.

They're both VERY active JW's!

I could understand it if they were both weak or inactive JW's. But they're not.

It will be interesting to see if more of us at JWN have these experiences.....

LV101 very true. And the masses know little about the child abuse that goes on as well. I heard Sandusky victims are growing in number. I thought for sure after the Conti case, there would be huge expousure on the news but nothing. Just puddles here and there. I guess the world at large expect child abuse in religion after the RCC had all those naughty priests getting busted.

can we start over with new topics such as practical ones about how to format on jwn and posting problems and solutions.. historical posts such as those on rutherford and russell?.

Or a seprate library of topics which can be cut and pasted from the original threads. It would take more work but to me worth it. I'd hate to see old post deleted. Sometimes they come in handy for back up statements or info., not to mention harty debates that show leverage.

But if a seprate library were biased, isn't JWN more about exposing the WTS. At least that's how I feel about this site.

A library would help when searching for important information needed immeditaly or to enlighten a visitor in the matter of moments.

I'd like to see:

Russell's and Rutherford's beginnings as well as document court cases to show the farse.

The Conti case.

The total U.N. debacle.

Doctrinal adjustments/changes.

Bible historical.

Just a thought....

Well, it seems my JW relatives are turning into restless Indians. Serious! My aunt has basically shunned me or over 30 years! And now?

I just wanted to put out feelers to see if this was coming from the WTS.

But the weird thing is alanv? I'm DFed.

I would love for them to sit down and have a beer with me.

I have to say I was absolutely shocked when my relative called today. First thing I even asked was "is anything wrong? Did something happen?". She then said no everything's fine, I guess you would think that because I never call.

Pretty strange....

For more years then I'd like to count, one JW relative has NEVER called to see how I was doing. Today she calls out of the blue, asks how I am, and if there's ANYTHING she can do for me. As of late another JW relative has been a lot more communicative. Both are in different states.

Has there been recent guilt tripping talks about loveing kindess, etc.? Or could this be happening due to certain JWs waking up about the double tounge of WTS?

NSA spying on Vatican! My JW parents are SOO EXCITED!

it just came out yesterday that the nsa has spied on the vatican and pope francis.

when i went over my parents house yesterday, you could see the excitement, the energy in their eyes when they talked about it.

my dad even pumped his fist like he won something when he was talking about it.

What's funny E is though you depend on and qoute the bible, you have absoulely no idea of it's history. The WTS has many victims in the dark because they sway you from SERIOULSY FULLY INVESTIGATING INFORMATION WITH A CRITICL MIND.

For instance. None of the Apostles present at the last supper where annointed yet. Not until way later at Pentecost 33 ce. So why does the GB associate the the last supper (passing bread n wine) with ONLY the annointed?

Also, planets and stars have NEVER survived FOREVER in the history of the univers, even before Adam and Eve. So why would they now?
